Their wedding day did not start the way they had imagined or
planned for -
But Charlotte and Chris didn't care. They didn't care that
their venue was running on generators and didn't have air conditioning; they
didn't care that there were thousands of broken tree branches in the front
circle to their venue; and they didn't care that the lighting in the ballroom
had to be altered. All they cared about was they were getting married - in
front of their wonderful family and friends, and they were supported on each
side by their amazing children, Alexis, Amy, and Hayley, who smiled from side
to side at each other as their parents united their two families into one.
When I got a call from Charlotte that morning saying that
their venue had lost power from the big storm we had the night before and they
were trying to find enough generators to run the DJ, food, and some lights, I
noticed how calm she sounded. I'm sure she was not calm inside - but I have a
feeling that those little details didn't matter as much as it mattered that she
had found the love of her life - and she was going to marry Chris Saturday
evening no matter where it was, and no matter how warm it was! Their faces lit
up as they saw each other during the processional. Every time they separated
from each other to greet guests, they came back together and flashed each other
the biggest smiles!
Every detail really did come together; and I think
everything looked even more gorgeous with the candlelight that gave such a
beautiful ambiance in the rooms of Grey Rock Mansion in Pikesville, MD. The
staff were such professionals dealing with many different challenges that come
with running an event on generators, but they were amazing, and they kept the
party going throughout the night in style with the help of some great DJs at
Electra Entertainment!
Charlotte and Chris - it was such an honor to photograph
your beautiful wedding. Thank you so much for choosing me! I hope you adore
these highlight images, and I can't wait to share the rest of the images with
you! Congratulations!!!
