My friend from college, Erica, got married yesterday. My other friend, Kerry, was in the wedding, and my roomate, Erin, all attended the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony & reception. It was hard to feel like I shouldn't be working during the wedding, as I was a guest, not a photographer ;) But I still managed to get a few shots during the evening.

Erica was beautiful, and Kerry looked stunning in her Tiffany Blue dress. Matt & I had such a great time!!!

Compass

One (of the many) projects on the to-do-list for today was to photograph this compass for an upcoming publication. I was having trouble avoiding the mirrored reflection on the top of it, so I decided to work with it for a few shots.
Today is like my Friday. I'm going out of town with my mom tomorrow to watch my cousin graduate! I'm looking forward to the break, and I love road trips...lots of coffee breaks, long talks, and hopefully some fun pictures!

Poses

I was choosing some of my favorite images from my most recent photo shoots, and it was interesting how I chose similar "poses" as my favorites...It makes me think I'm doing something right, and then I also think that I should keep thinking of new poses. I love how both Keeley and Monica are standing in the full length photos. I tend to really like photos that are composed with couple surrounded by a beautiful environment.

I've finally been organizing my ideas of poses into a big binder so that it is easier for me to flip through the pages before a job and get some new ideas of poses for my shoots. I got the clear plastic sleeves and put all kinds of magazine clippings and contact sheets together. I love that I don't have a big pile of magazine pages in a box anymore!!! Hopefully, it will help me to stay fresh in my ideas and continue to think of new poses and ways to photograph my couples!

Bad to Good

I've been bad about blogging lately. Partly because last week, I was dealing with car problems. I just had to take a photo of my poor baby car being towed off campus on Monday (late) afternoon as I was already late to a meeting with a prospective wedding client. Thankfully, only my checkbook was harmed by my car troubles. Work has also been extremely busy.

The end of my week ended great though, as Friday was my 25th birthday. My mom made me an ice cream cake...which is only one of the great things that happened over the past weekend. I had the best time with close friends Friday night going out, delicious burgers with the family on Saturday, and a really productive day at home on Sunday. I was so appreciative to have a weekend at home!!!

So, this week, I am going to try to blog some of the photos from my recent engagement shoots. I still am having trouble choosing my favorite images, but I think I've at least narrowed it down!!!
